Getting Started
Welcome to Elyxium Bound, a collection of interactive activities and community to explore the mysterious land of Elyxium. This guide will help you learn the basics, find your way around the site, and decide where you'd like to begin. Please keep in mind that we are heavily in development, new content is added weekly, which you can follow on our Discord or Updates panel.
Elyxium is being designed to suit all manner of interests, from cute to horror, from farming to fighting. All activities centre around your characters and the lore of Elyxium, how you play is up to you.
Where do I start?
There's no need to read everything at once. These three steps will give you enough of an introduction to begin exploring Elyxium.
Characters
Your First Elyxian
Characters are at the heart of Elyxium. There is a diverse collection of species to pick from, however, while they are being updated, your first slot will limit which species you can begin with. You can view which species are available by viewing your First Time Owner ticket in your inventory.
From there, traits and other character features can help make your Elyxian unique. You don't need to plan everything immediately, characters can grow and develop alongside you as you play.
Guides & Tips
First Steps Setting Up Your Account
You can register for an Elyxium Bound account using the registration option at the top of the site.
After registering, you'll receive a verification email. It may take a little while to arrive. If it doesn't come through, contact a moderator and we can help verify your account.
Some email providers may filter or block verification emails, so make sure to check your spam or junk folder too.
We recommend keeping a tracker on Toyhouse or your character's profile for important submissions, milestones and rewards. It makes future claims much easier to check.
Your Pets Interacting With Your Pets
Pets are small fauna you can collect, with an array of variants to find. You can earn rewards for filling our your collections.
You can breed your pets in the Hatchery, which allows unique ways to collect the pets you require.
To breed your pets, you must first attach them to your character and bond with them. Your character will use stamina when bonding, and once maxed out you can then breed your pets.
Art & Rewards Submitting Artwork
Artwork can be submitted through the submission menu while you're logged in.
For ordinary artwork, select General Art. Other prompt types are intended for their specific quests or activities.
Put a publicly viewable link to the artwork in the submission URL field or choose an uploaded artwork that you have made.
Avoid links that require a password or account to access.
Include the breakdown for your Seals and XP in the comments so moderators can easily check your submission. You can easily calculate your rewards by using the Art Calculator.
Don't worry if your calculation isn't perfect. Moderators can correct mistakes while checking the submission.
Character Creation MYOs & Character Slots
Turning an Item into a MYO
Some MYO items can be converted directly into a character slot from your inventory.
Uploading Your MYO
Once your design is ready, find the MYO slot on your account and open it.
Under Settings, choose Submit MYO Design and create a new request.
Fill in the required information and upload your completed masterlist image. We recommend uploading PNGs.
The add-ons section can be used for things that affect the character, such as trait upgrades or afflictions.
Save your request when you're finished, check everything over, and submit the MYO for review.
Existing Characters Editing Your Character
Characters may be edited for many reasons, including adding traits, gaining afflictions or updating their design.
You can request a design update using the Update Design option on your character's page.
When submitting the request, attach any required items and provide an updated masterlist image.
Do not remove traits already listed on the character. Add the new trait alongside the existing ones. You may need to re-apply the entire list as traits are attached to individual images.
Redesigns can be approved without a special item as long as the changes aren't too drastic and the character is still clearly recognisable as their previous design.
If a redesign leaves previously approved traits unused, those traits may be returned to you as account-bound traits for use on another character. Mention any unused traits when submitting the redesign for approval.
Achievements Claiming Badges
Badges can be earned and displayed on your character's page.
Once a character meets the requirements for a badge, submit a claim and attach the character you want the badge added to.
In the claim comments, mention which badge you're claiming and include anything needed to show that the requirements have been completed.
Some badges may require links to artwork, submissions or other milestones as proof.
Character Partners Companions
Companion eggs purchased from the shop can be converted into MYO slots.
Open the companion item in your inventory, select its checkbox and choose Turn Into Slot. Once the design is complete, the resulting MYO can be submitted for approval like any other character.
Companion Stats
Companions have unique foods that can increase particular stats.
To apply a stat increase, submit a claim with the required item attached and include the companion.
You can link a companion by navigating to their page, and choosing your Elyxian to bond to.
You must own the companion in order to link or unlink it.
Character Progression Levelling Up
Artwork earns XP alongside currency. XP can be placed into a character and used to progress through their level tiers.
Open your character and use the Bank section on their page to add XP.
When the character has enough XP to reach their next level, submit a claim.
Open the claim submission form.
Link the character that is being levelled.
Mention which stat will receive the level increase.
If the new level includes a reward, mention that in the claim as well.
